Cangshan County is located in the south of Shandong province, within the jurisdiction of Zaozhuang City, is also on the north of Pizhou City of Jiangsu Province.
Cangshan County is a national quality garlic production and export base, known as the hometown of garlic. Cangshan garlic has become the unique pillar industries.
Cangshan garlic is the famous native products of Shandong Province; with features of large seeds same flap, skin thin as paper, white as jade, sticky spicy with fragrance, and also rich in nutrition, it enjoys a high reputation both at home and abroad. Cangshan Garlic contains 17 kinds can be measured amino acids except cystine; the other 16 were higher than the content of the foreign garlic. Cangshan garlics’ amino acids contained 39.2% higher than the content of other garlic, the amino acids can be available directly absorbed 51.5% more than other garlic.
According to the《The  Geographical Indication Protection Regulation》,General Administration of Quality Supervision , Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China organized review of the application of the Cangshan garlic geographical indication protection. After examination,hereby given Cangshan garlic for the implementation of geographical indication protection from today.
